“What would it be like if I could accept life – accept this moment – exactly as it is?”
– Tara Brach
Change of seasons is always a good reminder of subtle impermanence of things. Observing the trees let go of their leaves we may learn something about ourselves – we also can let go. The flow of our human experience changes moment to moment. Thoughts, feelings, sensations come and go without the need to engage, and it takes no effort at all to simply be where we are.
During this workshop we will practise keeping our seat at the “riverbank” of our inner experience, observing the flow, but not becoming it. We will work on inviting our experience into our awareness, rather than pushing it away, and accepting it on its own terms, rather than needing to change anything.
All exercises are guided, mats, cushions and blankets will be available, as well as some snacks, tea and coffee. Anyone who wishes to refresh or deepen their mindfulness practice is welcome, as well as complete beginners.
