Change of seasons is always a good reminder of subtle impermanence of things. Observing the trees let go of their leaves we may learn something about ourselves – we also can let go. The flow of our human experience changes moment to moment. Thoughts, feelings, sensations come and go without the need to engage, and it takes no effort at all to simply be where we are.

Tense and Release: Progressive Muscle Relaxation

Oftentimes we are so wired into our stressful routines that we don’t even notice how tense our bodies are. The goal of this exercise is to help you distinguish between the tense and relaxed state of muscles in your body and to gradually train your body to let go of the tension.
